The Artisan series of KitchenAid mixer is a substantial kitchen appliance which makes your kneading, creaming and whipping quick and easy. This model comes with a 325 watt motor and a 5 quart polished stainless steel bowl with a comfortable handle. A glass bowl has recently been added to the list of available accessories.
This model also includes three attachments:

Unique Mixing Action: The beater spins clockwise while the shaft spins counter-clockwise. This action allows the beater to access 67 points in the bowl and enables thorough blending and mixing of the ingredients within the bowl.
Speed Control: The 10 speed slide control allows you to select the required speed for a perfect mixing action from a fast whip to a very slow stir.
Versatile Accessories: The flat beater mixes quickly and thoroughly everything from cake mix to thick cookie dough. The hook kneads yeast dough while the wire whip whips egg and/or cream easily, incorporating just the right amount of air into them. All three are strongly constructed and can be easily secured to the beater shaft.
Splash Free: The pouring shield which is fitted around the top of the bowl prevents the ingredients from splashing out. The ingredients can easily be added without any dropout through the chute provided.
Solid Construction: The bowl locks tightly to the base and the mixer head is held securely in place by a lock lever. During mixing, there is no jumping around on the counter; the mixer stays firmly in place.
Endless Possibilities: The KitchenAid Artisan mixer is also supplied with a power hub for additional attachments. Some of these include a pasta maker, sausage stuffer, ice cream maker, and vegetable strainer and grinder.
